Did you know that a penniless American went to China and sired four children, that his son became governor of the Central Bank of China and minister of finance, minister of foreign affairs, and president of the Executive Yüan; that one daughter married Sun Yat-Sen; that another daughter married Chiang Kai-Shek; and that the third daughter was called the "Conscience of China" by its people. Their American father became one of the most influential people in 20th Century China.
